JBA exhaust package for ‘05 Mustang

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

JBA introduced the first complete exhaust packages for the 2005 Ford Mustang, including new long tube headers, smog legal Cat4ward headers, H-pipes and after-cat exhaust systems. Crowds in the 2004 SEMA show were in awe as they witnessed the new line of JBA Headers Performance Parts. These new headers take full advantage of the redesigned chassis and new engine of the 2005 Mustang.

The header features a 3/8″ thick laser-cut flanges, Mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel primary tubes, JBA Sealing dome, premium quality hardware and gaskets, Bolt-on installation and an Optional ceramic coating with thermal barrier.

The trick “D” port aluminum heads on the 4.6L 3v can breathe easier through JBA’s 1.625″ mandrel-bent stainless steel primaries freeing up massive amounts of horsepower and torque. JBA’s one-piece .375″ CNC laser-cut flanges make a tight and durable seal for trouble-free performance. The pipes terminate in a 9″ long collector that houses JBA’s patented Firecone merge device for enhanced scavenging of exhaust gases. These headers fit perfectly inside the frame with no loss in ground clearance.

JBA Releases New Product – Charger/Magnum/300C Performance Headers & Exhaust

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007

The new JBA cat4ward headers and JBA Performance Exhaust Systems has already been out of the market, ready to be consumed vehicles needing replacement of their headers and exhaust systems, or simply those who want to get more power.

For many years now, JBA Headers Performance Parts has been known for building and testing headers for the 5.7L HEMI since it was introduced in the year 2003. Because of this experience, their engineers have been familiar with the design and flow characteristics of the heads and therefore became aware of the what the engine would respond to best.

The engineering group at JBA focused on addressing the critical shortcomings of the 5.7L HEMI Exhaust manifolds. They addressed this with a new design that began with high flowing 1-3/4” mandrel bent stainless steel tubing. With their efforts of giving each cylinder a smooth unrestricted path, the back pressure was reduced and the flow goes way up. The giant 3” collector was engineered using JBA’s patented Firecone – a special directional device which is the same with what drivers would find on a long tube race header – which enhances the flow by providing efficient scavenging of exhaust gases.

With features like the thick 3/8” CNC laser-cut flanges, O.E style JBA sealing dome connection to the exhaust, and high quality hardware, this becomes an effective upgrade for the HEMI. Other attributes include premium quality gaskets, direct bolt-on installation, will not void factory warranty, optional ceramic coating, and 50 state smog legal.

Among the lot of benefits these headers provide are an increased horsepower and torque throughout the revolutions per minute range, improved throttle response, reduced back pressure, decreased under hood temperature, increased passing power, increased low-end torque, making engine more sensitive to other modifications, and an enhanced engine compartment appearance.

For their JBA Performance Exhaust System, they had alloted and spent numerous number of hours for the testing and tuning so that it could engineer the perfect exhaust for the Magnum and Charger including SRT8 models. The result then could only be an ultra high flow system that creates real power with the bona fide sound of a true muscle car, but without the annoying resonance that is common among other systems. Each of these exhaust features smooth flowing mandrel-bent tubing, quality hardware, fully welded JBA mufflers, with a chrome plated stainless steel rolled tip lips for a finish.

This system not only sounds awesome but also looks great as well. This doesn’t have an excessive noise and tips that are cheap that they turn yellow. This is because JBA does not settle for something less, they make sure that their exhaust systems and headers are only the best.
